Merry christmas!!!!

Thankyou for your christmas wishes hope you all had a lovely day. It was weird being away from home and family but we had a really good day here. We had lots of fun, it was nice to be with friends and do something different for one year. It was very different that's for sure, although it was raining so it felt a little more like being at home!

In the last few days we just did a few supermarket shops in and had a good session at the gym.
Christmas Eve was a quiet one with some video footage filmed and home alone begun after the food was prepped.

We were up early christmas day and had a very excited Jen. We had a cuppa then showered and put on our smart christmas toggs. Jen opened a lot of her presents her family had sent over when mikes parents came to visit and then we all got going making brekkie. Mandy, who's house were staying at, kindly gave us some champers so that was brought out for a special breakfast and me and mike successfully poached some eggs for the first time. We were very proud of ourselves! Eggs, salmon, English muffins and croissants were served, complemented nicely with of toast of champagne.
After brekkie we opened our pressies to one another. With a $7.50 limit these were a surprising success! Between us we got some good Aussie souvenirs and I was happy with a bondi beach towel. We watched the last bit of home alone before sticking the BBQ on.
It was such a good BBQ! We had big king prawns, marinated pork chops, kangaroo steak, kebabs, sangers, corn on the cob, garlic butter and halloumi stuffed mushrooms, rice salad and normal salady bits! After a big feed we crashed out for a half an hour nap and then the skyping fun started between us with lots of different family calls slotting in between times and different rooms of the house. A very different but very good christmas with the besties!

Boxing Day me and any had a nice slouchy day as Mike and Jen went off to his godparents. We cleared up, watched films and baked some christmas cookies!
