It is the wedding season here, we see many brightly coloured marquees, and women dressed in red and gold saris looking beautiful. Yesterday a wedding was held at a new hotel behind us, it started about midday and went on until the small hours. It sounded fun with all the drumming , cheering and squealing, l was tempted to sneak atound there to have a look. Ray was not so impressed as he wanted to sleep lol.
Aftre breakfast went for a walk by the lake to see if we could see a kingfisher tnat we had seen before, our luck was in. They are a really beautiful colour!
We had not walked along here for 5 days and was amazed at the small trees that had been planted along the path, when these have grown it will look good. All of a sudden everybody is busy smartening things up ready for the high season. Even the high street has had a covering of tarmac, all be it a thin covering of tar mixed in s cement mixer. They seem to lack a lot of modern tools and machinery and every thing is such hard work for them.
We had hoped to go for a bike ride but it was too hot this morning and Ray was busy reading a book this afternoon. I think that was his plan as he really does not like cycling, bless.
Purchased some insect repellent ready for when we head south, because if any one will be bitten it will be me!
It has clouded over and feels like it may rain, it may help keep the dust down. The shop keepers are always splashing water on the pavement and dusting their goods.
