Today we are paying the price for our cycle ride, Rays calfs are really tight as he has not ridden a bike for almost 3 years, mine are not so bad. We need to walk so as not to seize up lol.
We decided to visit the local Museum, just walking along you see some strange ( to us anyway ) sights, like cows and dogs wandering down the road through the traffic and all manner of vehicles. Today l was stunned to see two people go by on a camel! We came to a crossroads where a woman was doing her washing on the kerb as there happened to be a tap nearby as the traffic whizzed by. Crossing the road you just have to go for it, as there is never a break. There are many busses full of people all hanging out the doors and on the roof, one clipped a motorcyclists sending hom to the ground, fortunately he was ok. We passed many stalls selling meat, fish and veg, it is just laying on tables in the sun, sometimes it is covered with a damp cloth ( rag ), no chill cabinets here!
We arrived at the museum, a lovely building with a garden, a lot of money had been spent on this when it was first built and more building work was in progress, inside though was a little disappointing as the displays had not been touched for about 12 years or more and were dusty and faded.
On the way back we found a different route, looking down l saw a cows foot laying by the kerb, as you do! Ray found the Royal Enfield motorcycle shop and was drooling over them, although he has never ridden a motorcycle he loves these bikes and the sound they make!
It took us several hours to get back so we stopped for a pot of nepali tea yet again. I must learn to make this back home as l do not know if l can go back to pg tips he he.
