So after spending an action packed couple of days in Ninh Bihn, trying not to crash or moped in to a cyclist who turned right in front of us, (clenching buttox moment for sure) we boarded the night bus to Hue. Ten pm pick up twelve hour trip, cool, one snag the bus was full baring two seats no where near each other, one on its own in centre isle top bunk or, right at the back top row middle seat of five, after loosing rock, paper, siscors i made my way to the back of the bus to take my place between four other travellers.
"There must be another seat" protested a large (very freindly once we got to know each other) jewish lady "Yes there is, but my wife is sitting in it!" She moved all of her gear and and gave me a blanket, i had no idea how hev was fairing up as i couldnt see her from my seat, i quickly made friends with everyone around me as i would be spending twelve hours on this hot close quaters bus! Lucky me, English couple, friendly mother, daughter combo from Jerusalium. The hours flew by as did the miles, we had noticed early on that the driver seemed to like the other side of the road more than his own side!!
After six hours of being stuck in wierd and wonderfull positions with two strange woman who moved around alot in there sleep, we got off the bus shattered, hev also hadn't slept for six hours so we were cooking on gas?? When aproached by a guy trying to sell us a tour of the DMZ i felt my resolve weaken, with half a can ok coke on board i managed to politly explain that Hue beackoned and an hours sleep and a shower was not enough to tempt us on to his tour, so six more hours of cat knapping lead us to Hue and the adventure continues! so untill we speak again "be excellent to one another and party on!"
