A great day in lovely weather, though we did have to wait over two hours for us all to get lunch. The turtle hatchery was very interesting. The visit to the orphanage was very moving and though we are here to play hockey most felt that this was the best day. Both teams wanted to organise some charity events next term to help the orphange. For me most the telling thing I heard was when one of the girls had hoped we had brought some food and fortunately the hotel we were staying at had. The cricket bats AWM and DL had brought proved a great success. Just look at the pictures. The orphange was for girls aged 8-16 who were no longer wanted by their parents or who had been sent to prison, but often when they reached 16 the parents wanted the girls back to work. This was quite eye opening.
