Today was the journey back to Hamilton where Andrea took me on the scenic route. We went via Taumarunui and Waitomo. It was a beautiful drive back, seeing all the beautiful landscape, which was caused from the Taupo eruption MANY years ago.

Today / this evening was the Celebration of Faye's 30th Birthday. We all had a pretty relaxing morning / afternoon, as we knew it was going to be a big one.
Once the clock struck 4pm, so we cracked open the cider (though some other parties started much earlier, cracking open their first beer around midday - we won't mention names, but Tony, you know who I'm talking about - hehe).Anyways, the ladies were trying to be more sensible, taking it easy to start with, as we knew we had a long evening ahead of us.
Once we were all glammed up to the tee, and ready to head out, we started with a much needed Jaeger Bomb, just to give us that kick start to the evening. All rearing to go, we jumped in the car and off we went into town.Sally drew the short straw, and landed up in the boot - though she seemed pretty happy and content with this option. But much to our amusement as you can imagine - hence the lovely pictures!!!
We started at 'Singer' for a drink, before our due time of our dinner reservation.Funny though, that everyone seemed to think the bar was a lot smaller than they remembered (possibly too many bevies previously hey guys ….)
After our much enjoyed drink, we made our way to the Restaurant, 'Gothenburg'.It was a farely new restaurant, so no one had actually eaten there before, so we were all virgins.Much to our appreciation, Tony, you made a fab choice in picking the Restaurant, as the food was outstanding.
After a few bottles of wine, and fantastic food, and of course a little cake for the Birthday girl, we made our way onto 'Rodeo Rodeo'.To start with, there was a major fight on, so everyone was glued to the TV screens (but as you can imagine, Faye, Sally and myself, were convinced the fight would be over in minutes, then we could at least get on with our evening …. As much as us ladies DON'T watch boxing, we were spot on - it didn't last long, so we cheered madly after the fight (Though I'm sure some were impressed that we were cheering for the winner - nah - we just wanted to get on with the party).
Rodeo Rodeo, was indeed great fun.Its like a 'Cyote Ugly' style bar - that you can dance on the bar and tables. As you can imagine, this suited me to the tea, so as one does, after a few more bevies, we took to the stage, and entertained the rest of the bar with our great dance moves (well we thought we were great). It was so much fun!!!
Afterwards, we grabbed ourselves some much needed food (yes we ate again, but we are talking 4am), and off we went back to the house, to continue the party.Fortunately for Mark, he received a very drunk rambled called at about 5am - 5pm his time.I'm not quite sure how much of the conversation he understood, but he was in stitches - so at least I gave his something to laugh about.I eventually made my way to bed at 6am.

Today was my Friends actual Birthday, so we were up farely early (9ish) to shower her with gifts and much love.Sally cooked up an amaising fry-up brunch (when we eventually got it - hehe). As you can imagine, today was a day of relaxation, and recovery.

Today Faye and I went into Hamilton town, to do a bit of shopping.Faye was spoilt with spending money for her birthday, so we had to do the right thing, and find her something to spend it on.After our little shopping expedition, we decided to go for a much needed lunch (shopping can build up quite an appetite). We made our way to the CBD bar, which was definitely a fantastic choice (our eyes were definitely bigger than our belly's).They have to have the worlds biggest Lamb burgers I have ever tried to fight my way through - but we did it - we were NOT giving up.
After our fab lunch, we decided it would be a good idea to go and work off some of these calories, and went for a couple games of Ten Pin Bowling. They were very tight / close games, but the best player won in the end …. Me of course - hehe (sorry my friend)
