Today Andy took me on another road trip to various different beaches. It was a lovely sunny day, so definitely the perfect day for it.
First stop was Te Arai Beach, which as all beaches are, was gorgeous.Next stop was Mangawahi Heads Beach, again, absolutely beautiful. From there we made our way to Goat Island Marine Reserve @ Leigh, where we went snorkelling - yip, snorkelling, in 14 degrees water. They even gave us 2 wet-suits each from the place we hired all the gear from.
Getting into the wet-suits was a mission and a half - Andy had to help pull me into them - hehe.It was a slow start for me to begin with.I just couldn't get used to the fact of just breathing through my mouth, so everytime I tried to get my head in the water, and breathe through the snorkel, I automatically started to panic (that I'd suck water in).But I eventually got passed it, and enjoyed paddeling around. There were some gorgeous fish (though not all that many). It was quite funny though, as Andy came across, not 1 but 2 sting ray, which she totally freaked out about hehe (and almost swam into 1 - that was resting on the rocks).Me, I wasn't all that brave to have a close-up look either, so I just got close enough that I could just see it.By the time we finished, sure enough I couldn't feel my toes any longer - it was bloody cold.
We then took a drive to Puhoi Bar, to try and get a late lunch (this bar is supposed to be quite the hot-spot), but I tell you what, the woman behind the bar, was sooo rude in telling us that they stopped serving food half hour before we got there, so we left there, and headed onto Waiwera (I didn't want to give that rude b**** my money anyway). And it was a great choice in the end, we had absolutely fantastic burgers (homemade) yum, they were awesome.Once we had eaten all we could, we made the journey back to Auckland, on the way, stopping at Orewa Lookout, which was great, as the sun was setting, so the sky was just gorgeous.

Today, Andy was back at school, so I just chilled for the day (lazy I know). When Andy came home from work, she took me to Muriwia Beach (Black Sandy beach). On the way to the beach, we stopped at a local shop, and picked up some hot chips, and sausage in batter (which is the NZ thing). This was supposed to be a snack for the beach, but sure enough, was more than enough food, so that sorted us for the evening. The views of the beach were awesome, and we were there for sunset, yet again, so managed to get some great pictures.

This evening, after Andy had finished school, we had a couple drinks, and some dinner before we got ready, to make our way out to see Black Eyed Peas live.
On the way to Black Eyed Peas, we stopped at the Sky Tower in Auckland city, and went up to the Observatory deck, where we had a fantastic view of the city.It was yet another great clear day, so the view was outstanding.I had to laugh though, as Andy was terrified up there. She couldn't bear to walk over the glass - instead she stayed close to the center, and wondered around with me - telling me what everything was in the distance, but NOT getting close to the edge, hehe.
After the Observatory, we hit the high road, and made our way to the Black Eyed Peas concert. They were fantastic.Vocals were great, and definitely good entertainment.Even better is that I actually knew more of their stuff than I thought, so was happily singing along majority of the time.
