Well up bright and early......sailing into Alexandria Harbour, very calm and hazy....definite smell in the air. Breakfast line huge, everyone leaving at the same time of course......squillian buses lined up......logistics of getting 2000 passengers on the correct buses a nightmare but it is done well and in a very orderly fashion.....11 buses staying o/night. Armed guard escort for the convoy....3 hr drive to Cairo. Police and plain clothed guards with machine gu...

Another lovely sleep-in.....Roger been to the gym.....breakfast watching the sea pass by. Calm and sunny again....how lucky are we. Still amazed at the colour of the water, found out why it is like that......the high salt content of the Mediteranean apparently. Speaking of water....the water on the ship is so soft due to the fact it is de-salinated. Our cute cabin steward 'refreshes' the room twice daily......where am I going to get one of those when I get hom...

It's 0900hrs, just woken up......wow what a sleep, could it be the sea air? Roger is at the gym....such a good man. The Sea is like a milpond, not a cloud in the sky, 24C promised. I am on our balcony soaking it up.... Our upgraded 'mini suite' is wonderful, very spacious and comfortable. We unpacked our suitcases, YIPEE. Our cabin steward is Saki. Best check out the 'Princess Patter' to see whats on today......hope they are still serving breakfast somewhere...

Another spectacular day in paradise. Rome has been so interesting....the historical sites at this stage.......nothing compares. Has a feeling like going back in time a touch . Sorry to be leaving Rome after such a short stay, would have loved another day to wander and soak up the atmosphere......check out the shops We found the Romans so very helpful and friendly, even the driver who took us to the airport escorted us downstairs to the Princess meeting place........

Up early to try and beat the crowds at The Vatican.......magnificent morning clear blue skies and warm, 30C coming up. Much better breaky, the funny grumpy maitre de dumped a whole lot of biscuits, cakes and a whole loaf of GF bread still in the packet, on a plate and handed it to me exclaiming 'oh your the one!'.......the Italian Way!!!! Bless him..... Well how impressive is the Vatican Museum......I have to say it has been my personal favourite museum so far. T...
