Arrived safely in Singapore - good flight, no dramas - NO SLEEP of course. Challenge is to stay awake till tonight! Food OK on flight - Air New Zealand still best airline food to date! Guy next to us did not say a word, did a lot of coughing and spluttering - hope it is not the 'Airline Flu!' time will tell I guess. First scary experience in Singapore - 'THE SQUAT TOILET'! Apparently it costs $80000 in Singapore to acquire a license to buy a car, and then you pay...

Lovely dinner at Sarah & Gra's. Seemed I told a white lie about last night being our last home cooked meal for 6 weeks! Train trip fine. Safely arrived at Brisbane Airport - flight on time at this stage - only 4.5 hrs till lift off. Roger having coffee to stay awake a while. Very quiet at the airport at this time of night! Roll on 0230.

1 more sleep!! About to devour our last home cooked meal - can you believe no more cooking, or what's more, no more WASHING UP for 6 weeks! YIPPEE!'

Packing not my strong point! Guess it is time for a re-pack!! Packing for 4 seasons in one suitcase almost impossible! 2 days to go!!

Thanks to a gentle 'shove' (in the form of Air Fares and some generous spending money!) from our wonderful children and their equally wonderful partners, we are off on "Our Trip Of A Lifetime" - to Europe and Beyond! Never having graced any of these exciting shores before we cannot wait!
