This is Alhambra! Muhammad I, founder of the Nasrid dynasty installed his court on the Sabika hill in 1238 beginning the construction of Alhambra. In 1492 it was surrendered to the Catholic Monarchs Ferdinand and Isabella. This is the view from our apartment in the Albaicin area in Granada. The Alhambra is in view and we are within walking distance...not easy mind you... steep cobble stone streets down then a steep hike up! We spent the whole day discovering this wondrous work of art.
