Woke at 8am had such a lovely sleep in my comfy hotel bed. Mind you when I first opened my eyes wondered where
I was! Then it was odd getting out of bed felt the need to hold onto the wall, then I remembered I didn't need to as on land now and not the boat!
Had breakfast then went to the boat to help with deep clean and sail repair. Jane and Caroline went food shopping for the next race
At lunch time found a local food place to eat. Very back street !!! Almost like going back in time.
Can't believe how run down the
Streets are, uneven pavements ( that's when there are some! ) lots of mopeds and motor bikes more than cars. Crossing roads is a nightmare you have to dodge the traffic ! But the locals are friendly.
Finished working on the boat around 4.30 went for a drink with Jenn (garmin) Gareth (ex clipper skipper ) sophie (our boat )Sean (telemed) and colin (mission)
It's nice catching up with crew from other boats seeing how they got on. Carl and I went out for dinner on our own which was really nice. Although we have been away for 30 days at sea together, there is no privacy.
Found it hard walking almost like we were drunk swaying from side to side :apprantely land sickness !!!
Weighed myself and have lost 7lbs : half stones) yippee.
Faced time Jodie saw Freya
And Joey miss them so much. Lovely hearing Joey say grandad. Also faced timed Dana and my mum.
So good to see them can't believe we are so far away.
After evening meal came back to hotel to sleep in our lovely soft bed xxx

Anne All sounds good it's probably safer on sea than crossing the roads.so good to hear from you. What an experience
