Arrival in Vietnam
Woke at 4am Lindsey told me there was Phone signal so texted the kids my mum and Carl's mum and dad. Stayed in bunk til 6.30 then got up. Had porridge Carl and Matt on deck I cleared up breakfast bits and managed to wash my hair in the heads !
It was lovely hearing from the children by text will face time them all later x
Switched onto Vietnam time which is 7 hours ahead of uk. 2 hours behind boat time
Seemed to take forever but we arrived in Vietnam, had a pilot boat come along side to take us in and when we arrived there was drums and dancers performing. We were the 5th boat in.
So good to be on dry land
We checked into the Nov hotel which was right next to where we moored up and had a well earned shower.
In the evening went out for dinner with Matt and Jimmy then back to our hotel To go on the roof top bar. 35 floors high !!!
Still can't believe we have been at sea for 30 days and have sailed from Australia.
The welcome from Vietnam was really good they have given each team a bike and bus to get around and have trips.
Need to get some currency : it's dong and 500,000 is £17.50 !!
