Well all In Krabi now at the mo and its fantastic staying in a little bungalow 5 min walk from the Beach at Ao Nang and the surroundings are indescribable.
We have been on an island tour to see Phi Phi where the tsuanami Hit in 2004 which was good to see and we saw Maya bay where the 1999 film the beach was filmed and also Bamboo island. The island tours really were amazing. On our tip we stopped off along each island to dive in for some snorkelling...which was really unbelievable.
The following day we went on a kayaking and elephant trek.We kayaked on a mangrove forest for over 4hours,roughly about 20km. we saw lagoons which were really amazing, and gypsy caves which were vey interesting. The tour guide told us the history of the gypsy culture. They had lived there many years ago..and to prove it he asked us into the caves for a look around in which we discovered bones, teeth and many bodily parts. Along our trip we were floating through this wooded area whcih was really narrow and had trees roots and branches in the water...within minutes of passing through a large number of wild monkeys jumped onto our Kayak...they were looking for food. That was absolutely brillaint..so we sat with them feeding and stroking them for about an hour. After this we stopped off for lunch and then went for our elephant trek in the jungle...Wow they were absolutely huge elephants..we were so high up..we went through a river,up muddy hills and then finally fed them some bananas.Another fantastic day.Up early next morning as we are getting a 13hour bus journey to Bangkok.
