Well we had our final meal on the boat and left our Nile paradise behind.I think we have all enjoyed our time on the Nile. After leaving the Royal Lily we dropped our bags at our Hotel in Aswan and drove over the old dam so as we could visit the High Dam.The Egyptians are very proud of the dam and Lake Nasser is beautiful.After the dam we boarded a motor boat and head to the island of Philia where we visited the Isis Temple ( We were all excited to see our temple!!! Our Group name is Isis) the area around the temple adds to the magic of this temple. It was here that Rene was prepared to sell me off for two camels to one of the local market salesmen at least Elena's dad got 2000 camels for her the other followed by the whole of Egypt the next.Next we drove to a perfumery where we were able to buy essence that perfume is made from. I bought one that resembles Calvin Klien and it was only $40 AUS.After our shopping trip we visited the unfinished oblisk at the quarry.It gives us some idea of how the ancient egyptians created these gigantic structures.Then it was back to the hotel for an afternoon of rest and relaxation as none of us were participating in any of the optional excursions tonight or this afternoon.We had a quick lunch at the hotel and caught up on a few things as we had internet for the first time in 5 days.We caught up with some of the group and had dinner in the hotel restaurant before having an early night as tomorrow night we are on the train and no-one knows what that will be like.
