Our last day in Alexandria, and our last night in Egypt.We started the day by visiting the Citadel which was great then we went to the Museum which was a bit boring.I think we are over museums after all our time in Egypt.There were a few interesting pieces there though but we only needed half the allocated time to see the whole thing.Next was the long drive back to Cairo.We stopped just past the half way mark and there was a small shop that had a really good range of Cadbury chocolate.We also had lunch here.Back in Cairo we went to a new hotel, the Hilton (on the banks of the Nile), where there was a big shopping mall.Many people went shopping to use up the last of our pounds, including Rene and I then it was time for our farewell dinner.It was a great night made all the more special by the fact that Ibrahim was there.We had a few laughs recalling some of the funny moments of the trip and before we knew it, the time had come to say goodbye.It was really sad knowing that our Egyptian adventures had come to an end. We had become a close knit group and this was the last time we would all be together.We farewelled Ibrahim and went to pack for our 8am departure.
