We were dreaming of a white christmas, and that is what we got, however while the snow was covering the ground and trees, the sun was shinning in the sky. We could not have wished for a better day to go skiing. We started the day by hiring our gear and went out to the meeting point to find our instructor. We ended up with Jana from Belgium. She was a fantastic instructor and had us both skiing in no time. We have both discovered that we should stick to the skiing and leave the snowboards at home. Because we were doing so well we left the group for a little while at lunch and experienced the Peak to Peak Gondola. It is a Gondola that runs from the Peak of Whistler to the Peak of Blackcomb mountain, and you get some some great views of the valley and creek below. After spending some time on Blackcomb we headed back to our lesson on Whistler. We finished skiing around 3:00 because that is when the slopes close at Whistler, returned our gear and went back to the hotel to rest and speak to our families for Christmas. For Dinner we went to the Hilton and had a traditional North American Christmas Dinner which was great. Then we walked back to the lodge taking in the Christmas lights and snow as tonight would be our last night at Whistler.
