Well today was the day we have really been looking forward to. We headed off to the airport around 9:30 and were picked up by a very chatty taxi driver who was keen to tell us all about Seattle particularly Boeing but he was hard to understand. We killed time at the airport using the free internet until our plane arrived. It was very small for an international flight, (check it out in the photo albums). When we landed we eventually found our shuttle connection but were still surprised that the weather was not that cold and there was no snow. The drive to whistler should of taken one and a half hours but it took nearly three because of traffic, road works and accidents. For most of the drive we were still thinking where is the snow!!! All of the sudden everywhere you looked was white. It is an amazing site considering everyone back home is telling us that it is 40 degrees today. We checked into a great looking hotel and went for a walk straight away. It was cold (about minus 7) but really beautiful, just what you see in the movies and on christmas cards. We stopped our walk half way and had dinner at the Old Spaghetti Bar where everything comes with pasta. It was really good food and we tried a couple of local beers that were both really good, Rene thinks it must be the glacier water that it is brewed with (whatever!!!). Then we finished our walk up to the lifts so we know where to go tomorrow. Can't wait to ski and snowboard but tomorrow is Ziplining and Snowmobiling
