Day 2 in Vancouver

we arrived safely no problems - long flight from Auckland to L.A but we slept most of the way, got through the tight customs in the U.S airport. landed in Vancouver about 6.30pm Monday night; it doesn't get dark here until 10pm so we were a bit confused. we are staying at the Hostel International backpackers right in the centre of the city, its clean comfortable; on a dodgy street with sex shops, nighclubs and beggers (not like lil old Karridale). yesterday was really hot, about 30c. we walked to Stanley Park, saw a squirrel, people playing cricket (didn't expect that!), went to a lookout (photos), it was Canada Day (like Australia day) everyone was out n about, getting on the grog. had a feast for dinner at a Irish pub, drank Kilkenney pints.

Day 3

bought our camper van today - 1976 Dodge its blue and white

has a V8...of course, everything here does.

so Friday we pick it up and begin the real journey!
