today we are in Black Diamond, just South of Calgary. we called in to the Stampeed and bought tickets for tommorrows rodeo. the last few days we have been up in the Rocky Mountains.

we stopped in Field, which is just on the boarder of Alberta, we camped at a lovely little road at the foot of a massive moutain, with a glacier melted creek flowwing past. the next moring the car wouldnt start, flat battery, so we stayed enougher day. a nice Canadian man gave us a jump start and we were off to explore the rockies.

we went to Takakkaw Falls - magnificent, lake Louise - we did the 4km walk our the lake, it was very touristy, we went to Banff - lovely little town (shops have to fit in with the mountain village theme; even Subwway ect. we went to a beautiful lake called two Jacks and sat with the ground squirrels while they chirpped and scurried around; very cute lillte critters. we camped in the Banff National park at our first actual camping ground and by this stage a hot shower was a luxuary.

now we are in Black Diamond, ready to go to the stampede tommorrow.
