Florence and Roma!
Florence was amazing and another beautiful city in Europe. We of course ate, walked around, saw the sights and it was just beautiful. But my favorite part was when it started to pour outside on our walk. We got to the end of the street where two elder women were standing waiting to cross the street with their umbrellas- one of them took me under her umbrella and we started to chat. The other woman had holly under hers. The woman I was with spoke very good English, while hollys barely spoke it. We had good conversation and she was just adorable- so much like Mimi it made me miss home. She walked fast like me too. They showed us how to get to where we were going as we walked in the rain chatting. It was one of those moments that I will never forget.
Roma was great as well, although nothing like Venice for me! Roma was beautiful but too busy. It was cool to see all of the paintings and architecture, but can't say I'd go there again! Italy was an amazing three days and a weekend. It's a beautiful country and of course the food was just delicious. I think we ate gelato, pizza, pasta, and pastries every day! But I must say that my tummy is ready for some healthy stuff soon! It's hard to believe we only have a week left, but it's exciting at the same time. It's funny how much ireland has become home, and I miss it like I do home. We are off to Montecarlo now and should be there in a few hours! ;)
