Blog- railway systems
As I write this (but it will be posted later) we have made it to our second train on the way to split Croatia! We are going through Austria and it is just beautiful. We are all waiting for Julie Andrews to pop out as we are singing sound if music. It's so beautiful here even while on the train. The great thing about all of our trips is that we get to see so much because we are taking trains which is amazing. We get to relax and still sightsee rather than if we were on a plane. It still amazes me how well the European railway systems are- it is great. By the end of this trip I will have seen more of Europe than the United States ! It is made so easy here and we are definitely taking advantage of it. Today and tonight's long journey is nice because we get to rest our feet for a long time and take a break from all of the running around and walking through cities. We are trying to eat when an whatever we can grab at the stations- here, especially in Germany- the train stations are like airports and SO big, the same concept of shops and good too. We actually keep saying airport rather than train station. We are getting closer to Split each hour and it's so exciting! We are ready for the beach rain wind or shine !
