Hey!!! So after we wrote in Pisa we went to see the leaning tower which we heard was very gimmicky but was actually really cool!! When we first walked towards it it didnt look like t was leaning that much but then we went around the side and OH MAN!! it was crazy to see it like that! I tried tpo get some good pictures that have reference points to show the actual angle it was at but it was a bit difficult. Then we walked around the area looking at all the street vendors and stuff. We also got a few little things too which was cool. I got a little ring and some really cute hand made sandals that i barganed down to 9EU which was awesome! it was my first street market experience and i felt good about it! =) Dani got a ring too. I am a little bummed though because Barcelona is the only city so far that i havent gotten anything from. I wasnt really thinking about it and the language barrier was a bit much. AND because we were in Catalyan (SP?) the little bit of spainish we did speak was completely useless. so we just tried to get out of there, as the people werent very nice to us. But its ok...

So after seeng the tower and street markets we caught the next train to Rome which wasnt too bad. It was the first train that we took in the day (well the milan-pisa train was in the day but there were a lot of mountains which means mostly tunnels... didnt make for good scenery) that we coudl see the scenery and i got some cool pictures and video so hopefully we will be able to lupload that stuff here (looks like we will be able to!!). I have taken about 400 pictures so far and probably about 20 or more minutes of video so i am going to try to upload that tonight or tomorrow.

Getting to the hostel in Rome was a bit interesting. We first went the wrong way out of the station then it took forever to get there... then once we were here we realized that Dani booked it for the wrong dates... oops. Fortunately they had beds so it wasnt a big deal.

This morning we vowed to do laundry... we cant deal with it anymore so that is finishing right now. It was getting pretty bad. If we are at the point where we wince when we open our own bags you KNOW its time... lol! part of the problem is that we have been moving a lot in the past few days so it hasnt really be much of an option but since we will be in Rome for 2 more nights we took the hit to the schedule. After we get it done we are goign to head on a tour of the city and i think to the vatican tomorrow. i am SO excited to see the Sistene(SP?) Chapel and St. Petes. Then to the beach on our last day here which will be nice since our beach attempts this far have been unsuccessful.

Oh well, we live on the beach at home so i am not worried about it... AND if i really wanted to go to a beach i would have gone to some tropical island or something...

Ok i am going to go get my CLEAN clothes (WOO HOOOOOOOO!!!) and head off to see the city!! =)
