Hello everyone, We are currently on day 2 of three in Hue and as im writing this a big rain storm has just set in- fingers crossed in may cool the air a little- it is a trifle warm today (how british am i!) Today we have done the sights of Hue south of the River Perfume, we walked around the streets and then did the tourist sights. In the residential areas everyone is so friendly, a lot of people say hello when you walk past, especially the children! We then visited the Citadel and looked at the monuments in there, unfortuantely a lot has been destroyed by natural disasters and the wars so only bits remain and others have been rebuilt or are in the process of being rebuilt, but there was still a lot to see and a lot of information to take in. The buildings are so impressive and intraticaly designed, we have lots of photos so fear not (the slide show is coming together nicely-hehehe!) We have just been for a spot of lunch in a lonely planet recommened place- we thought this was probably the best way to go to avoid any upset tummies) Hayley had rice and fish and i had a fish omlette (oh and french fries)oh just heard thunder- and another clap!! Tomoorw we are off on a tour so there will be much more to tell- we have war tunnels and bridges- i love history!! Anyway take care, off to watch the storm and then for a ridicoulsy cheap beer!
