Hayley & Holly On Tour 2006
Hello all,
Here we are at stop number four of five in Vietnam, Nha Trang. We got to see our first sunrise since arriving in Vietnam yesterday morning from our balcony in Hoi An (yes it is as tough as it sounds) before we caught the bus at 6am. The bus journey was long, hot and uncomfortable again but I'm really glad we did it as we've seen almost the entire length of the country now and it's really beautiful. We were told if we took the train that the windows have to be shut as kids throw mud (?) at it and it's only a couple of hours faster anyway. The landscape is really varied, beaches, mountains, loads of farmland and the occasional cow meandering across the road. It's been very pretty indeed.
Anyway we only arrived at about 7pm last night and went straight out for some food (of course). Holly had cuttle fish which we thought was a lot like squid and I had more prawns. The meals were the biggest we've had, bloody huge actually but since all we'd eaten was bread and biscuits all day that was probably no bad thing!
Our hotel here is fine, only $6 a night. Just had a lovely breakfast of bread and jam and we're off to the beach shortly. Apparently the beach here is nicer than that in Hoi An so seems the perfect place to top up our tans! Even I am starting to develop freckles so you can imagine what Holly's are like!
Love to you all, take care!
Hayley & Holly
