Last Day at Work

So! Twas our last day at work today! We wen tall out and sepnt $30 on some limited addition Tequila in a striking gold bottle. He has been a good Boss so it was a Thank you for that reason. Elise has moved part time to front desk which is great for her. She is 18years old an dknows exactly what she wants to be doin in life career wise. That is why she has travelled from Vanvouver where she lives to Banff to learn allabout the Hotel industry. She now has experience in House Keeping and front desk. It will be sad to leave as I think there is a great bunch of people working for the High Country Inn now and I like them all we have a giggle together.
Everybody says what "excellent" beds Mike makes. Even the General Manager of the hotel! Mike takes pride in even the smallest of work he does and he wont leave the room until the bed is made "perfectly". Even in the "stays" where you are only supposed to tidy up and re-make the beds he strips them and makes them from scratch. He also hoovers all the "stays" even when no-one else does and we dont have to. I equally took prode in the bathrooms and I cleaned and took time in shining hte taps in the shower and the sink secretly competitively hoping my taps would be the shiniest and that our rooms would be looked upon as "The best". I had one of the only airfresheners so our rooms smelt the most fragrant and I sprayed glass cleaner on teh tiled floor to make it shine. Strange tht whatever job you do your morals and worth ethic stay the same! I also made suire I had the cleanest cart as I have to say they were disgusting! I cleaned it thoroughly with antibacterial spray and filled it all up the night before so I was all ready each morning. When we left I emptied the inside and hoped people would comment tomorrow on how clean it is. Sad i think people would say and a little geeky but hey thats me! AT lunch Mike had a greek giro and Bri and I went to Macdonalds. I greedily had a Big Mac Meal and a double cheeseburger! God i'm eating well over here. We dont have any scales but I recon i've put on half to a full stone in weight. We finished early at 2.00pm and we handed our lists in for the final time. We all arranged to meet in the Pump & Tap tomorrow - Sunday for a farewell drink. We like the pump and tap but the people who work there are notoriously rude. They never smile or speak to you and are really arrogant. Lots of people who live in Banff refuse to go there because of this reason. Then they have a tip jar next to the bar - like anyone is going to tip there service! Blackpool are playing Chelsea tomorrow at 7.00pm in there so will be good to watch. Plus its free pool til 8.00pm so I can whoop mikes ass again and again!
