Tuesday 14th September

We each got $40 for recycling / tips today in cash from work. Bonus! - literally! Just been to the Whyte Museum we got it for 1/2 price as we were locals its should have been $8. I thought it was very interesting. There was a part with artwork and info on Grizzley bears then another part on the founders of Banff - a guy named "Luxton" who was a local hero with all residents including the indians who he helped during the infuenzer panademic. There were lots of old pictures of the Banff Springs Hotel and Banff years and years ago and it was weired to look back from then and now to what it has become.

Wednesday 15th September

We met Brianna, Beau and Elise for dinner at the Elk. Its strange as no country understands our time pronuciation of "its half nine" They dont get it? No one says that in any other part of the world i dont think. Beau said it doesnt make sense and to him its like we are saying "its 4.5"! That made us laugh as when you think about it - that is exactly what we are saying! It really doesnt make sense! Also they did not understand us when we said "We lost our bottle" or "have you lost your bottle" meaning your nerve - again broken down - what exactly are we saying here? What on earth has a bottle got to do with your nerve? It really doesnt make sense!

We had an amazing steak sandwhich with mushrooms on Chibatta with fries and salad for only $8! Bargain. Of course we made the mistake of forgetting Elise was a vegiarian and we brought her to a steak and Elk night! Whoops! She had pizza so she was okay we hope! Brianna gave me my perfume from lush as she gets 50% off. Its called Tuca Tuca and it stays on for days! I know this (you may wonder) because we have a lack of shower facilities living in the van!

We all went back to Bri and Beau's to their house in Banff which they share with 2 other girls - one of which is her Boss Marie from Lush who I think owns the property or is the chief lease holder. The other is a french girl. Actually I just found out Marie is french Canadian also. The place was lovely real homely and it was great to sit on a big comfy couch and watch TV! Me, Elise adn Brianna went to the Cinema at 9.30 to watch Going the Distance - with Drew Barrimore and Justin Long. It was laugh out loud funny! - HILLARIOUS! Definately worth a wach and maybe even a purchase i would say! Brilliantly written humour. I really enjoyed myself having a giggle with some girls as i miss my friends back home. Its a shame we are leaving Banff just as I made myself some girlfriends. They are only 18 and 20 but I get on with them really well - shows how mature i am for my age! I dont notice any age gap. I have arranged to meet Bri and Beau in Edmonton on 25th September as they have a 2 bed appt there which will be great!
