Today we woke up and the lady served us breakfast on the balcony. We had half a melon with peach and a bread roll with cheese and ham! We then packed up our bags to head to Vina del Mar.
A little about Vina del Mar.. It is known as the garden city, it is a city beach resort that is a holiday destination for the locals and it's lovely, reminds me a little of home!
So we headed to the bus station in Valparaiso to head to Vina del Mar we had no idea now far it was and when Jor asked at the bus station they all started laughing! They told us to get a loal bus, not really understanding where the local bus station was we decided to get a taxi (as it turned out we were only about 10-15mins away and we were probably massively ripped off but he took us straight to the hostel (Hostal London) it's lovely and even has a tv in the room! And brilliant Internet (pics were up in 10 mins!)
We watched a bit of tv then headed out for a wonder (with no suncream on!!) we walked for a while and found the beach! We sat for a while then walked back towards the hostel to get some dinner. We stopped in a cafe for a drink and suddenly there were big forks of lightening and massive rumbles of thunder! (Just after we'd had a conversation about natural disasters!) we weren't overly fazed by it but the locals all stopped, ran out some kids were even crying! Then it started to p*as down! (I later asked the hostel owner who said it's not normal at all to have thunder and rain!)
We waited a while for it to stop but it didn't so we walked back into the main street and went in a local cafe out the rain. I ordered a cup of tea (strangely it was just milk and a tea bag! No hot water!) then we moved on to grab something to eat, the boys had chips, meat and eggs and I ordered something which I thought was something else and it wad rank so didn't eat it! We then headed back to the hostel to watch TV!! Haha
