Wednesday 23rd Feb
A lazy day at last!! Lie in, went to book bus to La Paz for tomorrow (12-14hrs) Got a good deal for an overnight bus that looked like a good bus! Then headed to get some food, wondered around the market while the boys went off to book some mountain biking for the next day, back to the hostel, chilled out and went for dinner! Just the day we needed!
Thursday 24th Feb
Another lie in for me, Joe headed of biking early but soon returned as the company wanted to wait for the rain to stop. Vicky, Abbey and I headed for an english breakfast. Went back to the hostel, the rain had stopped so they boys had gone biking...
Hi peeps its Joe, because Hayley had not come biking im gonna have to write out this part of the blog.(booo).So finally after waiting around for ages, we got a phone call from the company we had booked the biking with to tell us that it might not be possible to go today as the weather was bad (we would of lost 15% of our money that we had paid if cancelled) so we made it clear that we defo wanted to go, Thomes (the french guy) done all the talking over the phone as mine and Craigs Espanol isnt the best.
After 20 mins we got the go ahead and were getting picked up from outside the hostel. Finally after all the farting about we got picked up and taken to our destination (top of the mountain, yeah!) we started of testing out our brakes because over here they have the brakes on the other way round and that could be quite dangerous, so we got used to having them on backwards, we started going down an extremely steep and bumpy windie road all the way down (roughly 6k) where we were picked up by our driver who then took us to our next downhill, we had some really good views from the top u could see the whole of Sucre, its not overly big (population is about 260,000) we started descending this time alot faster due to the road being cobbled so less rocks and boulders. we eventually finished off in town and went back to the hostel to get showerd. Hayleys was out at the cinema. We all got our stuff ready to leave for La Paz later that night (13hr or so bus ride) was not looking forward to it. So we departed from Sucre that night, Hayley had slept fine (she always does) i think i got about 3hr sleep if that on the bus, if only u had seen some of the roads and cliffs u would know what i mean....
