Set off along the sandy pathways through the village's wooden cabanas, with a bit of bird spotting on the way, then to the top of the sand dunes for a great view of Playa Grande. Got stuck on one part sand that was unbearably hot, causing a moment of panic before scarpering back to where we had come from. Horribly early 5.45 alarm, in order to make the 7.00 bus to Punta Del Diablo. Took 5 hours rather than the scheduled 4, stopping every couple of hundred metres in every town, village, hamlet, and uninhabited piece of land on the way. On arrival our promised pick up was nowhere to be seen so we trudged half way to the hostel getting increasingly warm as we got further from the sea and out the wind.
