Soooo Sufers was a disapointment. I wish I hadn't gone! I arrived with the girls but we were in different hostels. We spent the day on the beach and in the evening I just made dinner and sorted out my finances and went to bed..fun fun! I met a really nice Itallian girl in my dorm so the next day we just went by the pool and chilled out. The weather was ok, but a bit cloudy which sucked! And that evening we went to play bowling with some Aussie girls. But that was pretty much it!

When I was walking around Surfers I felt like I was in America not Oz. It was far to built up, touristy and tacky! Not really made for backpackers at all. Everything is super expensive too. People, mainly horrendous muscle men, stop you as you walk around to sell you 'amazing' club nights..for $100! It was such a rip off, especially when we said no and he took it down to $20..we were like well its clearly a rip off if you were starting at that price and can actually sell it for 20! It got very annoying after a while with these people. Surfers reminded me of Orlando a bit, but it was actually more tacky! Everyone I have spoken to said they didnt like it and lots of backpackers avoid it so I wish I had done that!

Next was Brisbane though, and I was very much looking forward to it because I was staying with my sisters bessie, Sally, so I could actually be in a proper house for a bit! Amaze! xxxx
