Day 35 - Another day in Paradise...

Turns out the night was not a lot cooler, still very sweaty broken sleep! Good job we don't have much to do in the day but snooze on the beach!

Went back to Fernando's for a leisurely breakfast overlooking the sea, tea, fruit and toast! Then went for a quick dip in the sea before making the great find of the scrabble board at Fernando's! Scrabble kept us busy for quite a while then we decided to walk into Trincomarlee town along the beach to walk up to swami rock where according to the guidebook you can sometimes see dolphins and whales from the shore. It didn't take us long to walk but it was past a lot of local fishermen who I think probably found our bikini attire inappropriate and we had a fair few dogs barking after us which added an adrenaline rush to the walk! Swami rock was a nice walk, we had to walk through fort Fredrick which is still an active Sri Lankan army base and up a hill to the top where there was a temple, however we weren't dressed enough for the temple! Got a tuk tuk back!

Went to go to yoga in the afternoon but the instructor cancelled, luckily a lady who works there gave us the matts and showed us some positions, so we had a little stretch as the sun went down on a platform overlooking the sea, very peaceful! Untill some weird boys came to join us and ruined it so we left!

For dinner we went to a different restaurant where they were having a Saturday night party and bonfire, we had devilled cuttlefish! Devilled is like a sweet and sour spicy sauce that you can get just about anywhere in Sri Lanka it's really good! The music was super loud though, we were really feeling it, got told we looked bored (charming) and went home to bed, I suppose he was right!
