So good to be travelling again!!!!!! My trip has had a smooth start, the travel gods are smiling and my travel buddy Jane and I got on all our flights - and business class - and good rooms with views in San Francisco. It has been a very long day as I find it hard to sleep even in the sky beds, and am about to go to sleep as the sun sets. I had my first whole body scan in LAX, the security is pretty full on, and it does feel a bit invasive. Animals on planes are permitted in America, we were advised that if a little hound came down the aisle he belonged to a couple in first class (which was so not what I expected, our domestic economy service is better!) We explored the neighbourhood where we are staying, we are close to beautiful wooden Italianate wooden houses all ornate and uniquely painted and lovingly maintained. A great suggestion from Jason saw us visit whole foods supermarket - looking forward to mixed berries and organic yogurt for breakfast tomorrow and blown away by the choice and quality of organic food!
