I awoke at six am in order to make my 8:30 tee off time with Connie & Dale. It was another sunny day. The temperature however was a lot cooler when we teed off compared to when we finished. We played Dauphin Highlands, a lovely course which sadly I could not do justice. Dale had kindly supplied me with clubs. I could not get to grips with the driver & had a terrible round. The weather & company made it a very enjoyable experience.
Before the round I had my first experience of driving on the right as I took Ellen over to Connie & Dale's. I am glad this was done in rural PA rather than New York.
After the game we went to Connie & Dale's house. We were initially joined by Stefan & Amanda for a lunch of subs.
Dale has built a pool at the back of the house which was put to good use or the rest of the day. In total we were in for four hours. Members of their family dropped in along the way. Dinner was had with Dale's son, his wife & two young daughters.
It was an extremely relaxing way to spend & afternoon floating around a pool. Being able to do that at someone's house meant you avoided the standard tourist nonsense.
Connie & Dale have stated they shall now endeavour to make more friends who live further away, in order to travel like I have.
