We awoke to the news that Thomas Cook had finally gone into administration. After catching up on the news and what it might mean for us, & a phone call to Becky, Lorna and I had breakfast. I awoke at 8:00 and decided I should do something healthy before I eat and drink too much this week. I set off for a 5K run round the beach and back. I have been lucky enough to go for some runs in some great locations and this mornings run fits into that category. The sun was just above the horizon, and already providing a good deal of heat. The day started at 03:20 with a sausage roll, as Lorna and Charlotte wanted to go to the airport early. Today was about heat. Record heat. I had only managed about 4hrs sleep on top of the bed through the night and felt quite groggy. We ate breakfast outside in the back garden which is such a nice relaxing setting. As the mercury continued to rise we headed to the pool to cool off.
