After quite a disturbed nights sleep where I was up almost every hour I wasn't very refreshed from my early night.
We decided to stay on at the lake for a further night as its so relaxing here a different to other parts we shall visit.
As ever the day started with a dip in the lake. Followed by breakfast of a ham & cheese omelette.
Today was all about doing things at a slow pace. I sat in the lake for an hour before getting ready to go out for lunch. As we headed out some children asked if they could perform some music for us. We said perhaps later & set off down the beach.
We opted for a lodge which had recently opened in November under Italian ownership. It had a very relaxing vibe & a large menu.
We choose a table where we were able to sit out & watch people go by on the beach. More fish of course but this time I tried a local accompaniment which is the staple diet of most Malawians, nsima. Due to the amount they had plated up I could only manage half. Much like plain rice, it didn't really taste of anything & I had to mix it with veg & sauce.
When we returned to the Chiclid the children were still there waiting. It seemed rude to not at least here a few songs. Only one had an actual guitar the other three had constructed instruments from various items including a 5litre water carrier. Amongst their repo tore included 'welcome to Malawi' & the South African World Cup song.
We grabbed a few beers & took one last dip in the Lake. Though it was particularly chilly due to the cloud cover.
Before dinner we played the board game 30seconds. Here u had to describe the five things on your card while the other two guessed. I won the first game but Scotty was the overall victor, much to Cristel dismay. The highlight of the game however, was on Scotty's turn to describe he said 'my first name'. The fact that I guessed Joseph before Cristel provided much amusement.
Being the last night at the Lake another fish for dinner had to be eaten. I retired shortly after dinner at 20:00 to try & catch up on some sleep.
