A couple of sausage sandwiches from Greggs & I was ready to set off. I got to the airport for 10:00am, only to find the flight delayed when we go to the gate. The forty minute delay ensured I would miss my scheduled bus in Dublin.
I spent the time at the airport having my first Guinness on its native soil. The coach itself was very comfy, & came with plug sockets, water, & wi fi. Still feeling tired from yesterday's big move & drinks after I managed to grab an hours sleep. This particular service turned out to be the express so overall I arrived in Galway only 30mins later than scheduled.
Stefan collected me from the coach station, in the rental car he had hired. The house was 10mins drive in the suburbs called New Castle. After a few beers in the house with Pierce & Justin, we went into Galway. It was raining cats & dogs but the taxi was able to drop us off very close to McDonaghs restaurant/cafe for dinner. Mussels followed by cod & chips were spot on. We headed up Quay St then over to Dominic street popping into a few bars on the way before walking back up the hill home.
