Hello Everyone!!!! or should i say sa wat dee ( almost fluent in Thai now)
Have been away just over a week so thought i would give you a quick update....
Spent our first day in Bangkok on the 25th, the humidity was a shocker when we stepped out of the airport. Once checked in to our very nice hotel room we headed out on to Koa San Road, which was an experience!!! there were so many markets selling anything and everything you could ever imagine and what its seems like cockney market sellers, they have the accent down to a t. Managed to resist the temptation though. Saw Maria from uni on here way to the airport which just shows how small the world is. Went for drinks and met some really nice Americans and some Irish and spent the rest of the night exploring the bars.
Managed to get up early for a swim then went to see the Budda (Will put pics up soon) We had to cover our legs and shoulders so it was a very hot morning. Also caught a ride in a tuk tuk which was a lot of fun although i'm pretty sure my life flashed before my eyes a few times!! was a great way to see the city and got taken on a 3hr tour for 20p. The palace was closed until 1 so we didn't get to go in as we had a flight to Phuket at 3 but sure we will be passing through again.
Headed off to Patong in Phuket in the afternoon. Mum you could live here as they have a Tesco! Caught my first sight of a lady boy here. Patong is full of tourists a bit like Ibiza but worse, don't think i would return.
27th sailed off on a boat to Ko Phi Phi which is such a beautiful Island!! my fav place so far- gold sand, clear blue sea its heaven. Drinks don't come in glasses over here instead you get Buckets!!! so you can imagine we had a few good nights out. Met Dan from Uni here so spent a night with him before he left and stole his friends from him, two girls from Melborne who we spent the rest of our 4 days with and are meeting up with them in ko Pha Ngan. Its monsoon season at the min so have had a few rainy days, its quite funny watching the brits trying to stick it out on the beach before finally giving in to the gods. The Tsunami hit the island so its still building its self back up but the locals are really friendly.
Stopped off in Krabi town for the day before heading over to Ko pha Ngan, which was a bit like Patong so i was glad it was a short stay. Arrived on Ko Pha Ngan where the fullmoon party kicks off on Fri. Abbi seems to have booked us into a 5 star villa, which is very welcome.
Have so much more to tell and only been out a week. Having a fantastic time!! The sights are unreal and i can't wait to see more. Hope everyone back home is well and will update again soon
Lots of Love H xxx
