We'd not had any idea what to expect from Dalat as we'd only decided to go at the last minute. Was supposed to be good for some nice walks. It was a pleasant place set high in the hills away from the coast. It had a very wet and quite cold climate which was extremely welcome and felt very much like the UK in summer.
We didn't do much here as it rained 75% of the time but we did visit the lake in the town centre and go for a few wanders – getting quite wet a lot of the time due to the torrential rain. The architecture was quite different from the rest of the Vietnam we'd seen so far, had quite an alpine feel to it and was a very nice place to chill for a few days.
Oh the other interesting thing about Dalat was that they make wine here! I can confirm it's not half bad :)
