With end of semester only a couple of weeks away, a trip to Phuket was just amazing to relax a bit! I flew in Saturday evening and grabbed a cab to my hostel which was awesome - just a couple of blocks from the beach, super friendly staff and a huge area downstairs complete with pool, boxing ring and pool table!

On Sunday I spent the day lazing by the pool reading then hit the markets in the evening for dinner. I was suprised how many Europeans were around! The streets were busy with people spruking water sports, restaurants and tour services. I wandered the length of Patong Beach as the sun set and then headed back to grab an early night.

Monday I spent most of the day along the beach. It was so nice just watching the waves as I had a cool drink and some local thai food. For dinner I went to a street market and got some pad thai then wandered and got some souvenirs and spent the rest of my Baht.

Tuesday morning I was up and off to the airport by around 6am for my early flight to make it back in time for class. Only a couple of days but well worth the trip and somewhere that definitely caters for anything you need - great food, great party scene, great R&R!!
