DAY 3 PHALIA, BAY OF ISLANDS Weather is excellent, maybe too hot. Up fairly early for a days sailing on the corina catamarang(sp?). five of us from the tour are sailing today. myself a couple from wigan and 2 south african sisters, gisela and monika. all a good laugh. the actual sailing was a little disappointing has there was very little wind. ended up using the on board motor as this was much quicker. first stop was to a rock formation called the hole in the rock. does exactly what it says on the tin, being a rock... with a hole in it. facinating. we spent the time sailing round some beautiful islands. a few folk were not good with travel motion sickness as the occational waft of vomit proved. Which was nice. we stopped at an island where we were given the choice of swimming to shore or taking the dingy. i took the dry option. i spent the next hour enjoying some snooze time on the beach, just listening to the waves. so relaxing. now the best part we went looking for dolphins. there were around 40 dolphins all swimming around the boat. amazing stuff. they were doing backflips for us, jumping out of the water next to the boat. not many things make you say wow out loud, this was one of them. what an experience. i took about 50 photo's, 48 of which were of the ocean with a dolphin back under the water. blo0dy digital cameras. the 2 i did get were fabulous. them back to base. we are off out for a few beers tonight, i shall let you know how that goes on my next installment. take care everyone nigel
