Day 4 Back to Auckland. An early start to head back to auckland, the bay of islands was beautiful. It takes us most of the day to get to auckland, stopping off at various places for breaks. we play a few stupid games on the bus such as bus twister, unfortunately i could only last a few seconds with 2 feet on the ceiling, 1 hand on the floor and one on the headrest. far more entertaining than bug bingo. once in auckland we checked in to the backpackers, same place as i stayed the first night. A few of us went out to dinner, mainly from the new crowd. shock horror we find an irish bar right on the harbour. good old bangers and mash. a live band was playing too. i later found out that kate, laurel and kevin where in there that night, but i couldnt recognise them as i was yet to know them, makes sense really. a lot of the folks are at the end of the tour and are leaving tomorrow so tonight we go drinking, wahoo!!!. It's a shame to see alot of them go as there were some good folk on board, especially the monika and gisela who were forever correcting my english, apparently i talk lazy. I must pronounce my T's. there was giant twister on an inflatable bed. i guess they like their twister over here. if you lose you can only continue if you take an item of clothing off. unfortunately none of the s liked this idea and only jan the crazy dutchman and nick the coach driver participated. not a pretty sight. lots of drinking and some dancing later i decided to pole dance around the pole that was randomly placed in the bar, no clothing was removed for this i might add. I guess now after embarrassing myself tonight i have little else to be scared off. seemed to go down well though. after a quick tour of auckland to see the giant santa stuck on a building king kong style and to walk people home, i guess i made it to bed by 3ish. an early start in the morning and another night of 5 hours sleep. we have some new people joining the tour tomorrow. lets hope they are not all freaks. we have been warned that they call the xmas tour the tour as it seems to attract weirdos with no friends. did discuss pretending to be a little mental and possibly having a temporary torrette attack on the coach the next day however i was too hung over.
