Time trials today. Taxi to Waterloo then train out to Esher about half an hour. Lovely atmosphere on station with everyone given free ice creams and ice lollies.
Walked a very short distance to the roadside for the women's trials. Really exciting and very supportive. Cheered and screamed for every one but loudest of all for Liz and Emma!! Kids loving chalking on the road like at the Tour de France!
Had lunch after the women's race at a handy pub and could see the inward leg of the route only a couple of hundred meters away.
Managed to find a really good spot right by the road with excellent views. So exciting and so noisy. We're also by the big screen so could watch the whole race and the presentation of GB Gold and Bronze!!
Easy journey home and H had made us a lovely supper.
