Early departure at 6.30am for a fast and trouble-free drive to Caen. Took under 3.5 hrs. Arrived very early for ferry-the high speed catamaran. The sailing was delayed due to force 6 winds and 'Mer agitee'!! Had a croque Monsieur whilst waiting. Got the Porsche onto the ship ok into the tiniest of spaces. Market day in the village today so strolled up to buy melons tomatoes and sardines. Ian put fuel in the car and we got organised for a walk but the rain came so we stayed in chatting and looking at photos then packed the car ready for an early departure tomorrow.
