We didnt get to meet Karen because we couldnt get in touch with her which was a shame.Patrik whos Swiss needed a visa and he had to bribe the offical to let him into the country and then get a visa in the capital Lilongwe. The official made a big shouting scene for everyone to show he didn't take bribes but then went back into his office and happily accepted the bribe.

In Lilongwe we just shopped for some snacks ad water and went on the internet for the first time in weeks and it was surprisingly fast whilst we waited for Patrik to get his visa sorted. Every one is really friendly here and not hassling which is a nice change from Zambia which was a little full on.

At Kande beach it was so pretty, as it was the 4th of July and there were some americans that were in the peace core we celebrated their independence with them - one was even wearing an Obama skirt. They were crazy and danced weird and we stole there vodka but they were so drunk they didn't even notice. Henry got really drunk and kept throwing us up on the bar and then he fell straight off.

The next day we sunbathed and then rented a canoe to this little island we could see in the distance we had never done it before and we were rubbish in two mins we fell out and couldnt get back in for ages we were just rolling and rolling in and out f the canoe and I have a massive bruise from it. When we got there we all did some cliff diving and then went snorkelling and saw some cool fish! That night we had a bbq cos there wasnt enough of us to roast a pig.
