We spent a lovely sunny week here sitting by the look with dad and eating amazing food every night! The hotel was so lovely set on large grounds and had monkeys come bounding in every afternoon!
We did do one tour with a local company called arch tours that was like an overview of all of Gambia. First a stop at a local market where we got to try a horrible nut that is considered a delicacy but it was horribly bitter. sacred pool of crocodiles where we even got to touch one! Next we went to a cattle market wasnt particularly nice and a bit smelly!
We had a lovely rest stop at this hut that was built on stilts into the river where we tried some local tea and coffee. Next we went to a lovely local village where we learnt about village life and got to talk to many children some of the older ones even handed out their email addresses which was cute.
We stopped off at a beautiful beach called paradise beach for lunch and a couple of hours break which was well needed before we stopped off at a huge fishing village that had every kind of fish for sale and so many colourful boats bringing in their catch of the day surrounded by birds trying to steal it!
