when i finally woke up towards the end of the journey we were going through the mountains down to the coast which was very pretty, we arrived to mine ad dans first private room and the best thing ws that we had an ensuite! our main ight in the room didnt work but we didnt really care. we washed all our clothes and put them out on the balcony to dry while dad went to the supermarket. when we were finished we realised that the electric wasnt working and there was a powercut. next was a giant thunderstorm so loud and big! we were hoping to jump staright in the sea but there was no way now it had turned freezing out! we had some drinks and hoped that our dinner would be cooked as we were halfboard and the electric still wasnt on. luckily it was fied and we did get our dinner, we were shattered but dad insisted on going out for some drinks as he wasnt tired i got two cocktails both were really good and then it was 11 oclock and i was shattered! we headed to bed and slept for about 12 hours, the weather still didnt look to good so we headed down to the main strip to find some lunch and buy souvenirs and helena wanted to find the market shed heard about, i got half a chicken and chips and had a major stress about nothing at all and then bought some stamps for the postcards id written in bratislava that i hadnt got round to sending! we found the market and bought the honey and then headed back to put swimming stuff on as the weather had cleared up. the sandy beach, you had to pay for and helena and dad had been on the pebbley beach and didnt like it so we decided to go on the concrete slab which had deck chairs on. dad ad helena put on suncream and dad said we should to but we ignored him which was lucky because the sun lasted about half an hour before clouds came over. me and dan went in the sea with aqua shoes on as the bottom of the sea hurt our feet, the sea was really nice and refreshing all ive wan ted to do since we started this trip. from where crikvencia is you can see the other side of croatia which isnt far, and we could see a giant thunderstom like the one we had last night just across the water from where we were sunbathing, i tried ot take a picture of the lightnign but it was too fast for me! to the left of the thunderstorm the other side was perfect blue and it looked so weird being right next to eachother. after numerous games of uno again before dinner i had fish and chips and altohugh it wasnt as good as england it was really really good! we then went to a pub just behind the hotel which brewed its own beer and you could get a big thing to put it in for the whole table. it looked like a blender and it held 3.5 litres but you got to pour it yourself which was fun. the beer was horrible so i just had small sips whilst we had more numerous games of uno! the next day we were up early to go to ljubljana and the car was FULL dad said befoe us and our backpacks when they drove down the booot had been full and stuff had been on the back seat so you can imagine a tiny nissan micra with all that stuff two huge backpacks two mini backpacks and two sleeping bags and two peole extra! we were scared we wouldnt make it back up all those mountains!
