vienna and brtislava are the worlds closest capitals so we decided to stay in bratislava the whole time rather then fork out for austrain accomadation. the train only took one hour and when we got to vienna it was BOILINGGGG!!!! sososososso hot! we had absolutley no idea what to do in vienna so we wondered around and went to the hofburg and parliment building. dan got a lion bar which he was verrrrry excited about and i got some sour skittle tht had ten e numbers in! we bought our souvenirs which were really expensive and then went to stephansdom it was nice but to be honest we've seen that many churches now they all blur into one giant church. we then went to the place which was also beautiful and had our lunch there. by thisw time we kept seeing things for sisi and we weren't sure who she was apart from royalty and i even found a pez head of her. so they really love her over there ( and in hungary to!) vienna was really really pretty but it was too hot and becasue there wasnt a free tour we didnt really know anything about the city as my europe book is rubbish!!! it even told us the wrong metro stop to get off at to get to the station that we had to walk a mile and then had to run for our train in the swealtering heat. it was a good job that we didnt have our backpacks becasue we would have both passed out! back in bratislava we went to a restaurant which is a novelty for us anyway as it was like our first restaurant. i ordered spag bol and whne i got it it was freezing cold. like had jus ùt come out of the fridge. ewwwww. dan got a lasagnge which had tuna olives onions andmusrooms in but his was actually hot. i ended up getting chips from macdonalds!! when we got back to the hostel there weretwo english girls in there and then 4 english scouts aswell. and it was really awkward because dan was the only boy ( usually im the only girl in shared dorms) and because we were all english and so knew what everone was saying. the scouts were absolute losers taling about how it makes them angry when people use the word itch not scratch and how they have insect repelling boobs all whilst playing 3 way chess. gaaayyy!!! we went to bed early as we had to be up at 4.30 in the morning!
