After a rather early start we met our guide for the trek in Kathmandu - the rather wonderful Mr. Brem! We started our trek in Nyampur and after the first day we wished we had put a bit more effort into getting a bit fitter - perhaps unsurprisingly it was rather uphill! Over the past 10 days we've definitely shed a few pounds that we're looking forward to putting back on! And those who know us well will be rather surprised to learn (now don't keel over anyone!)...

We spent a couple of days when we got back from Chitwan in the nearby towns of Patan and Bhaktapur.They are both older and quieter than Kathmandu and it was nice to get out of the city.We stayed overnight in Bhaktapur and it was really nice to be somewhere traffic free and away from the incessant horn beeping! Well! We've had a fairly exciting few days! We rounded off our few days in Kathmandu with a revisit to Pashupatinath and Bodhnath Stupa and quite a bit of sleeping!
