Yesterday we went to Swayambhunath temple (monkey temple), which took us a while after our complete failure to navigate our way round Kathmandu and apparent inability to tell north from south and east from west! On the plus side, we completely got out of the touristy parts of the city and it was well worth the detour. Namaste! Well we're finally here! Just a quick one to let you know that we've arrived safely in Nepal, in the fantastic city of Kathmandu. Bit busier than last time we were here - but then last time we only saw soldiers . . . and monks! Feeling relaxed already and looking forward to the rest of the trip.
