Day 21 April 14th. Despite best intentions ended up in a great bar and got a bit drunk so nursing a hangover and helped me to sleep as I had bugs biting me in bed last night. Went to a Lama farm and saw Lama's Alpacas and Alcunias, some long haired the Pisac ruins and the steep walk at altitude on a narrow path gave us a taste of things to come on the Lares trek. Had lunch at the colourful local market. Travelled to Ollantaytambo another large Inca ruin, with huge stepped terraces guarding the Inca fortress and one of the only places where the Spanish lost a major battle during their conquest in the 1500's, where we watched a local ceremony in the square and spent the night in a lovely hotel next to the river
